With the fastest growing android market share WordPress has also rolled out its native application for Android phones. WordPress for Android works for both wordpress.com aswell as self-hosted blogs and it lets you moderate comments, publish and draft posts and pages for multiple blogs.

Wordpress for android also supports notification for comments which means it will prompt you in notification bar as soon as you get a new comment on your blog.

WordPress has released a newer version of their iPhone app today which come up with lots of new features and some bug fixes aswell. Though, if you are already using their previous WordPress app, you won’t be able to upgrade it as this one is a completely new app.

WordPress launch its first version of native wordpress app in July last year with some basic functionality which allows you to blog on the go. And this new version will definitely help to those bloggers specially who do traveling a lot as they can manage their blog right from their iPhone/iPod Touch.

Here is a list of all those new features which are bundled with WordPress 2 app:

More faster and efficient user interface.
Brand new comments UI including commenter Gravatar and URL display.
Passwords doesn’t store now in keychains.
Automatically post will be saved at network disconnection.
Lots of other bug fixes and improvements.

Create Automatic Backup of WordPress Database

How would you feel if you wake up one morning and get to know that your WordPress blog has been completely crashed up and your blog database has been corrupted the situation become more aggravate if you don’t even have backup of your blog database.

All your articles and content which you had written so far has completely been vanished. This is not less than any nightmare, right?

But you can overcome this situation if make backup of your WordPress blog database on daily basis, though this is really a complicated task. However, to make this task more flexible and easy I am writing this article for all of you.

This article will guide through the steps on how to download backup of your WordPress Database and also schedule automatic backups for future.

How to Make Automatic Backup of Your WordPress Database:

1. First thing which you will need is “WP-DB-Backup” plugin, you can download this plugin from here.

2. Now after downloading this plugin install it in your WordPress blog by uploading plugin folder to your “wp-content/plugins/” directory and activate it using your WordPress Admin Panel.

3. Once you have activated this plugin Goto Tools -> Backup. Here you will find all the options and functionalities of this plugin.

4. By default this plugin will make backup of all core database table of WordPress but if you are using extra plugins then you may need to choose them under “Tables” section to include in backup wizard.

5. Now move on to “Backup Options” section here you will find 3 options, one will let you upload backup file on the server, second will let you download it on your computer and third one will let you mail your backup file to any email address.

6. This is how you can make backup and download/send it manually while one of the cool feature of this plugin is that you can schedule automatic backups and let it send automatically to your email address.

7. To setup automatic backup head over to “Schedule Backup” section at bottom and there you can select frequency on which you want backups to be generate, If you do post lots of articles in a day then you can choose Once Hourly or Twice Daily backup otherwise you can choose Once daily or Weekly options. Though, I would suggest you to choose “Once Daily” option.

8. Now in the next field enter your email address where you want database backup file should be emailed. And again like you did above, you can choose extra plugin’s database tables for backup and Hit “Schedule Backup” button and it will create and send a copy of backup right at that time and then afterwards it will automatically send backup to your email address on your chosen frequency.

Windows 7 Build 7022 Leaked

The only version of Windows 7 right now available for beta testers and public is build 7000 which s also going towards its ending time soon, while in the mean time an another version of Windows 7 has been leaked out on the internet.

It is Windows 7 Build 7022 which leaked out on a Russian torrent site by some friendly Microsoft Ukraine staff.

This Windows 7 Build 7022.winmain.090115-1850 comes up with pre-installed Internet Explorer 8 RC1 and was built on 15th January 2009 as shown in its built code.

The individuals at Microsoft right now testing Windows 7 Build 7034, so there are possibilities that we can also have a leaked version of Build 7034 shortly.

Twitter is one of the most addicted Social media site and is being proving as the best source for news and traffic as well, if you are a blogger or webmaster, twitter can bring some relevant visitors to your site. The purpose of TweetSuite is it integrates twitter with your WordPress blog.

There are a lot of functions in this plugin which makes it a complete SEO tool. By installing this plugin your readers can tweet your blog posts on twitter, along with this it also has a voting button similar to “Digg this” like button, the more users will tweet about your posts the more votes it will get and will be shown along with the posts. It also has widgets support which you can use to show Most tweeted posts, Recently tweeted posts, My last tweets and My favorited tweets.

Another useful feature of this plugin is that it lists all the tweets about specific post, works similar to the “trackback” feature.

WordPress 2.7 Released .. Download Now !!

This is my first post from WordPress 2.7 about WordPress 2.7 (Yeah, I have upgraded successfully).
It was the much awaited and talked version of WordPress because of the hype created about its cool new web 2.0ish look. Few days ago Auttomattic rolled in WordPress 2.7 for WordPress.com blogs and today, they have released WordPress 2.7 officially for standalone blogs.

There are many new features in this new release but the main one is its new look. WordPress 2.7 has got a complete makeover with lots of AJAX based functions which makes it more flexible and customizable, it has complete customizable dashboard from which you can drag and drop elements and also can choose your desired elements to show. With this new dashboard you can have a bird eye view on your blog and as well as you can post direct from dashboard using QuickPress feature and that’s not all as you can also moderate comments right from there.

Along with this new dashboard the other feature which I like is Automatic Upgrade feature, now you don’t have to first download new version to you local PC and then overwrite files on webserver manually all this process will now be done with few clicks with new automatic upgrade function.

The other great feature is automatic plugin installer, go to the plugin browser from your WordPress 2.7 Admin interface and install you desired plugin with just one click.

The WordPress app is perhaps the first and only open-source app available in iTunes App Store which brings your WordPress Dashboard on your iPhone and iPod Touch screens. Resolve Image/Media Uploading Problem In WordPress 2.5

WordPress 2.5 was officially released just a month ago. Most of the bloggers upgraded to this new version of WordPress. There are some new features in this fresh version including Flash based Media uploader.
Unfortunately for some however, it doesn’t work anticipated due to server configuration and broken flash files on the user computer.

The same problem faced by me when I upgraded to this new version so, I Googled and found a handy plugin named No Flash Uploader.
No Flash Uploader disables the new Flash based uploader and allows the normal classic uploader to work.
I personally using this plugin and found it yet useful and Good job done by Dion Hulse who is the developer of this plugin.
