The latest Safari 5 release brings lots of new features while one of the most useful and productive feature amongst all is the new “Reader” implementation.

Reader feature in Safari helps you being focused on the content rather than advertisements and other clutter. Now you can get the same feature on your Firefox and Google Chrome.

iReader is the replica of Safari Reader which allows you to be focused on content specially while reader articles on blogs and news websites. With a click of button or a hotkey, which is supported by the plugin; it darken the background and bring out the pure content of the page includes text, images and videos.

iReader also has some extra cool features such as Zooming, Print option, Social sharing via Twitter, Facebook and Email.

So, on the whole iReader is a good alternative for all those who are craving for “Reader” but don’t want to moved on to Safari.

Almost daily we use free video sharing sites like Youtube, Google Video, Dailymotion, MetaCafe, Break.com to view videos online. But if we want to download these videos, we have to use softwares and other online services for this work. But today I am sharing a nifty FireFox add-on which can download videos from various video sites in just one click.

Fast Video Download is a FireFox extension which can download videos from your favorite video sharing site in just one click. Fast Video Download supports almost every famous site including YouTube, Google Video, PutFile, MetaCafe, MySpae Videos, Hi5, DailyMotion, Break and lots more.

Add Thumbnails To Google and Yahoo Search

Almost everyday we use Search Engines to search for different queries, after entering the query we get lots of results for that search, deciding which link to visit in that huge list, which suits best to our search is something not that easy. But, how about if you get the thumbnail of each link right on the search result page. GooglePreview will do this job for you.

GooglePreview is a Firefox extension which adds thumbnails of websites in Google and Yahoo search results. After installing the extension when you search for any query either in Google or Yahoo search it will show thumbnails of links besides the search results.

All the thumbnails are taken from Thumbshots and Alexa which are stored on Google Preview server. It works with all versions of Firefox.

GooglePreview is really a useful tool which will help you deciding which link to visit and it will definitely save your time.

Firefox 3.0 Vulnerability Encountered

Firefox 3 had setup a world record for most downloaded software in 24 hours of time period recently. But it is really shocking that just after 5 hours of its official release critical security vulnerability was found in it.
After working for months of period on it, Mozilla’s technical team still missed some security holes in the core. So far the technical vulnerability is not yet disclosed in public by ZDI (Zero Day Initiative).

The good thing is that this problem has come into notice by Mozilla and they have start working to resole this issue. So, let’s hope we will get any security patch soon for Firefox 3 till then it is highly recommended to all of you to browse safely and avoid clicking uncertain link.
