Asus Eee Pad: New Rival of iPad?

Asus finally ready to unveil the new Eee Pad from its notebook-laptop kitty for which it was previously acknowledged. They confirmed the news of releasing of more than one version of Asus Eee Pad in the ceremony of COMPUTEX 2010 in Taiwan in 1st week of June. So far the information gathered from different sources it is speculated to be most efficient opponent of Apple’s iPad.

Asus Eee Pad EP121 with 12 inch of touchscreen display will have an Intel’s Core 2 Duo CULV processors with NVIDIA Tegra 2 graphics chipset as hardware baseline and will run on windows 7 and Android OS. There will be a 2 megapixel webcam with video conferencing capability. In other specifications Eee will have 1080p HD video playing capability with a HDMI port, handwriting identification, a virtual dock style keyboard, and all kinds of data transferring facilities like 3Gnwtwork, WI-FI or Bluetooth connectivity. Other than this Eee will support the latest Adobe flash 10.1. Like iPad The Battery will support as long as 8-10hrs on a single charging.

Regarding EP101TC which is considered to be more users friendly will have a 10 inch of touchscreen display with Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system. Nevertheless Asus refuses to add anything more on specifications.

The price range of these two Eees is anticipated to be in a range of $399 to $499. However the tentative date of release is not yet confirmed.
