World’s largest social networking service Facebook currently becomes more user friendly to its more than 400 million worldwide users by introduction of one–click privacy options. Being criticized over a long period of time for their prolonged system and options regarding privacy control that used to puzzle the users was a matter of great concern to Mark Zuckerberg and his team.

According to their newly published “Privacy Guide”, this change will occur in two different ways – a uniform privacy protocol across the site, and new privacy preferences in this protocol. Now in every selection point Facebook will offer users an option of visibility of their personal data to other third party views. In case of new privacy preferences Facebook has added an option named “”Friends of Friends” that will allow only significant no of viewer to see anyone’s personal informations instead of permitting all.

From August 2007, Facebook is coping with problem like accidental showing of viewer’s home page and search details, faulty inclusion of Beacon where third-party websites could use one’s personal information for their advertising interest etc. In view of these drawbacks Facebook has already revised their privacy system several times.

The new privacy options will be available in “Privacy” option of Facebook. A newly designed page will easily guide the users to this latest thing they are looking for.
