Apple has announced the price reduction of iPhone 3GS, first of its own kind to a half of its present market price. According to Wal-Mart from 25th May buyers can now get iPhone 3GS with 16 gigabytes of storage capacity in just $97 which was previously sold at $197. All these activities add fuel to the rumor that Apples owner Steve Jobs most likely is going to unveil the latest version of iphone, iPhone 4 in WWDC 2010 convocation on 7th June.
From Broader point of view there are many reason of this recent price–cut. Firstly Apple is trying to clear its stocks of iPhone 3GS, in view if another new model’s arrival. That will push the buyers to go for the upcoming model which is expected to cost much higher. Moreover, with this tactics Apple will get another chance to grab the market of smartphone with low prices at a situation where in few weeks Google any some other large manufacturers are going to launch their new models at much higher price.
Therefore, if anyone wants a cheap, fully loaded smartphome with some brand value, surely it’s the time to go for iPhone 3GS.
