Google TV and It’s Future

T.V or Internet, Which provides the ultimate range of entertainment to the viewer, is a huge debatable question. According to worldwide Internet Services Providers and Global T.V Market, with 1.67 billion of internet users compared to 1.13 billion households of T.V, internet is the largest entertainment medium in modern world. Still internet lacks some basis features like high quality viewing or uninterrupted live broadcasting facilities. Hence, to a next generation gadget-freak a perfect blending of both TV and internet in a single device would be the decisive meaning of entertainment. To manufacture such a device that can only be accomplished in science fiction till now, a joint collaboration of Google, Intel, and Sony has taken this ambitious project. So far the reports are coming Google will create application software and it will function as interface between hardware and chipset provided by Intel and broadcasting facilities of Sony TV sets. A modified version of MeeGo Linux operating system with the help of Adobe Flash 10.0 and HTML Web Browser will support the whole network.

According to their recent announcement in Google I/O conference, San Francisco; Google TV will have normal TV like features with browser facilities. That means one can search any kind of television channel, movie, songs, shows, websites or anything that can be visualized by just typing some key words in home screen! Furthermore, if anyone favors any particular channel he/she can add it to the bookmark in home screen to avoid daily searching hazards.

Viewing all these integrated features; one can easily speculate that the device will set a new trend  of visualization. Very soon, Google TV will be seen in advanced Sony TV sets or in normal TVs with the help of set top boxes.
