Apple to Bring Contacts on Home Screen in iPhone OS 4.0

This comes from the official Patent office, according to which Apple has filled a new patent application, which may bring Contacts icon on the home screen in upcoming iPhone OS 4.0. This feature of displaying Contacts icon on iPhone home screen will invoke one or more applications and can be used to handle contact information. Checkout what that application states:
The icon can also be used to invoke one or more applications that are personalized to the contact. The icon can be modified to display information related to the contact. In one aspect, an icon associated with an entity can be temporarily displayed on the mobile device based on the proximity of the mobile device to the entity.
This new iPhone OS 4.0 is expected to announce in the upcoming Apple event which is going to be held at 27th January 2010 at the Yerba Buena Center of Arts.
