On my previous post where I shared a guide on how to Jailbreak Unlock iPhone 3G/2G to 3.1 Firmware, I got plenty of comments from users that they are getting “No Service” after they Jailbroke and Unlocked their iPhones.
So today I am sharing another fix for all those users who are facing “No Service” problem and hopefully this will solve their problem out.

Fix “No Service” for iPhone 3G

Fix iPhone No Service MessageIf you have iPhone 3G then you can solve No Service issue by disabling 3G to do this:

  1. Tap on “Setting” icon from home screen then goto “General”
  2. Now Tap on “Network”
  3. Then Slide “Enable 3G” to Off, and then restart you iPhone and hopefully you will get your Network signals back.

If this doesn’t solve the problem then try the second method below.

Fix “No Service” for iPhone 2G/iPhone 3G

  1. Go to “Settings” and then tap on “General”
  2. Now tap on “Reset”
  3. Then choose “Reset Network Settings”
  4. After that iPhone will Turn off and then will reboot automatically if not then do this manually.

Let me know in the comments below if this worked for you.

Neither method worked. Would an .ipcc file be able to fix this or that has nothing to do with “activation” or the SIM registering in the phone… Sorry, just brainstorming here. Thanks.

My iPhone 3G is factory unlocked. I restored it using your custom firmware, and now I don’t have a GSM signal. I followed your comments here, but still no luck.
