Download Pwnage Tool 3.1 Right after one week of Apple’s 3.1 Firmware release, the infamous iPhone Dev-team has released Pwnage 3.1 which will jailbreak and unlock OS 3.1 firmware.

However, Pwnage tool 3.1 works on Mac OS X, so windows users will have to wait until they got updated version of redsn0w released.

iPhone Dev team has also instructed that this release of Pwnage tool 3.1 will only jailbreak iPeone 2G, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 1G and furthermore you can also unlock your iPhone 2G and 3G using Ultrasn0w which lets you use your iPhone on any carrier.

Jailbreak and Unlock iPone 3.1 Firmware

Before you start using Pwnage tool 3.1 have a look on some important points:

If you are using a 3G iPhone with ultrasn0w and rely on ultrasn0w to obtain cellular service, then you should only upgrade to 3.1 with a PwnageTool created .ipsw.
If you have an iPhone 1st Gen then 3.1 unlock works with this PwnageTool release.
This version of PwnageTool wll NOT work for the iPhone 3GS aswell as iPod Touch 2G and 3G
PwnageTool will work for iPhone (1st Generation), iPod touch (1st Generation) and the iPhone 3G.

I need help urgently!!! my lil brother upgraded the firmware from 2.2.1 to 3.1 on my Iphone 2g. He thought that he was doing me a favor but now my iphone is locked and I dont know how to unlock it. it was jailborken and unlocked with Quickpwn. How do I do to sole this?

If you want to put a little work into it, you can run OSX in VMWare. There is a torrent out there that has the complete package. You just download it, install VMWare, and then open an existing Virtual Machine, and point it to the included OSX files, and you’re running OSX in Windows.

I’m typing this from OS X Leopard in Windows XP.
