Apple has just launched latest firmware 3.1 for iPhone and iPod touch today at its 09/09/09 event.
The new 3.1 firmware comes up with not so major but bit of changes such as Genius Mixes, Genius Recommendations for Apps, Wirelessly Ringtones download and managing apps right from iTunes which is one of the coolest feature of this release.
The new apps organization feature is really out of the box and comes handy for managing your application right from your iTunes 9.
According to some users, upgrading to this firmware on iPhone will also change baseband which will make your iPhone permanently locked. So, all the users who are using unlocked version of iPhone do wait until we got some release from Dev team.
Till then iPhone users with contract can upgrade to Firmware 3.1 through iTunes 9 for free while iPod Touch users have to pay $4.95 for this upgrade.
