Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3G Firmware 3.0 using Ultrasn0w

The most awaited release from the most famous team is out now, iPhone-Dev team which is popular around the world for their unlocking and jailbroking techniques have released ultrasn0w (previously known as yellowsn0w) from which you can unlock your iPhone 3G OS 3.0.

Just follow the steps below to easily unlock your iPhone 3G firmware 3.0 without any hassle.

1. First you’ll need to upgrade your iPhone 3G to OS 3.0 and then jailbreak it using redsn0w, to do this:
   1. Download redsn0w (Windows | Mac )
   2. Uncompress and start the tool
   3. Download official iPhone Firmware 3.0 (Link is given at the bottom of this post)
   4. Now go ahead with the on-screen provided instructions
2. Now after jailbreaking your iPhone 3G you can unlock it with the Cydia app to do this:
   1. Start “Cydia” on your iPhone 3G
   2. Click “Manage” on the bottom menu panel.
   3. And then click “Sources”
   4. Now click on “Edit” and then “Add” then you’ll be asked to enter APT URL, type http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and click “Add Source”
   5. This will add ultrasn0w repo to your cydia
   6. Once the installation complete Search for the ultrasn0w app and install it.
   7. After installation complete restart your iPhone 3G and that’s it your are now ready to use unlocked iPhone 3G with OS 3.0
