Please Don’t Delete Your Account, says Facebook

Yeah that’s right, you read it correct, that’s what Facebook is telling to all it’s users who are trying to delete their account.

As we all know that recently Facebook made changes in their TOS according to which Facebook owns complete rights on its user’s data, though Facebook reverted this policy later on.

But it looks like this confusion resulted as a valid reason for Facebook users to delete their accounts. For this sake Facebook has updated their account removal page with a note in which Facebook is saying sorry to all its users and informing them about their policy update.

Are you deleting because you are concerned about Facebook’s Terms of Service?

This was a mistake that we have now corrected. You own the information you put on Facebook and you control what happens to it. We are sorry for the confusion.

You can also check it live on Facebook account removal page here.
