Skype lets you make free and cheap calls, locally and internationally both, to your friends, colleagues and relatives etc. It also provides your functionality to make call with your cell phones or computers using WiFi Hotspot.
There has been time when you are away from your PC and would like to use Skype in your College, University, Friends PC or somewhere else, so no more worries as here I am sharing a cool trick from which you can run Skype from your USB flash drive.
Run Skype from USB Flash Drive
- Download and Install Skype on your PC and locate the folder where you installed Skype for e.g. “C:\Program Files\Skype” and copy “Skype.exe” file to your USB drive (you can also copy it into a separate folder).
- Create a new folder on your USB drive with the name “data” (If you copied .exe file in a folder then create this folder as a subfolder)
- Create a new file with the name “Skype Portable.bat” using Notepad and write “skype.exe /datapath:”data” /removable” (without the quotes) in it.
- Save and Close this file.
- Now whenever you click Skype Portable.bat file Skype will run and all your data will be saved in “data” folder.
