This is my first post from WordPress 2.7 about WordPress 2.7 (Yeah, I have upgraded successfully).
It was the much awaited and talked version of WordPress because of the hype created about its cool new web 2.0ish look. Few days ago Auttomattic rolled in WordPress 2.7 for WordPress.com blogs and today, they have released WordPress 2.7 officially for standalone blogs.
There are many new features in this new release but the main one is its new look. WordPress 2.7 has got a complete makeover with lots of AJAX based functions which makes it more flexible and customizable, it has complete customizable dashboard from which you can drag and drop elements and also can choose your desired elements to show. With this new dashboard you can have a bird eye view on your blog and as well as you can post direct from dashboard using QuickPress feature and that’s not all as you can also moderate comments right from there.
Along with this new dashboard the other feature which I like is Automatic Upgrade feature, now you don’t have to first download new version to you local PC and then overwrite files on webserver manually all this process will now be done with few clicks with new automatic upgrade function.
The other great feature is automatic plugin installer, go to the plugin browser from your WordPress 2.7 Admin interface and install you desired plugin with just one click.
