After the release of WordPress 2.5, which took placed a month ago, first Beta of WordPress 2.6 is out now with some new features and bug fixes. This release has not that much changes as WordPress 2.5 had but it is better for upgrading.
Here is the sneak preview of WordPress 2.6 features.
- A “Press This” bookmarklet for tumblelog style quick posting
- Google Gears Support for Admin Dashboard files.
- Theme previewing as seen on WordPress.com
- Built-in word counting in the post editor
- Customizable default avatars
- Bulk delete, activate, and deactivate for plugins
- TinyMCE 3.1.0.1 with lots of bug fixes
- Lots of bug fixes and performance improvements

Full version of WordPress 2.6 is expected to release in mid-July And I m waiting curiously for the full version to be release.
